1 John 3:10-12 10 In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother. 11 For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another, 12 not as Cain who was of the wicked one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his works were evil and his brother's righteous.

Scripture
1 John 3:10-12
10 In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother.
11 For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another,
12 not as Cain who was of the wicked one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his works were evil and his brother's righteous.

Observation
There are two ways in this world, following righteous and wickedness. That defines whether he is children of God and the children of the devil!
God asked us to be righteous and love each other. If you are righteouse then only we can love others as like love ourselves.
But sin has entered into mankind because of disobeying god. Cain killed Abel because of jealous reason that god did not accept his offering. If Cain would have love on Abel then he should not killed abel.
So obey god and be righteous and start practicing love one another as like Jesus.

Application
we have to get rid of wicked nature and try to be righteous. Then only we can love each other.

Prayer
Lord remove the wicked nature from our hearts and we want to be righteous as you expect from us.

SCRIPTURES:

1 John 3:10-12 10 In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother. 11 For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another, 12 not as Cain who was of the wicked one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his works were evil and his brother's righteous.

OBSERVATIONS:
One of the trademark sins of Satan is hatred; he hates everything, everyone. He hates God, he hates you, he hates anything that by it's nature glorifies God. Satan changes the meanings of words that are neutral and makes them evil; he takes symbols of God and inspires warping of them into something perverse.John states that Cain murdered Abel because of the hatred in his heart. It was a hatred in his heart fueled by jealousy; Abel gave the adequate sacrifice and Cain did not. Don't be surprised if the world hates you, because that's the nature of the world. The world, when you stand for God, will try to defame you, intimidate you, mock you, and do all sorts of evil to you.

We often see this "spirit of Cain" attitude in churches, unfortunately. What happens is that one person lives for Christ, does great works for Him and another person does not fueling, sadly, a jealous hatred and it is not of God. If you see someone in the church doing great works, try to emulate them instead of hate them; thank God He has blessed them and in turn has blessed the church through the works. Ask God how you can improve and do better for Him.When you try to share the Gospel with someone, expect resistance because that person's heart belongs to Satan and his world system. Besides, it not you that saves--it is God the Father that draws the person to Jesus Christ.

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another. John 13:34-35

APPLICATIONS:
Those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you. Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful.

PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, Please be with us and guide us in practicing righteousness and relationship with u always.

Scripture: 1 John 3:10-12 English Standard Version (ESV)

10 By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother.

Love One Another
11 For this is the message that you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. 12 We should not be like Cain, who was of the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own deeds were evil and his brother's righteous.

Observation:
John clearly mentioned here about how to identify the children of God and non-believers based on how they live and act according to God's righteousness. Loving our brother as oneself attributes to the selfless and God-centric life style.
But again, any outward righteousness should come from inward transformation from our heart through Spirit. A Spiritual person should get commendation from God. [Romans 2:28-29 28 For no one is a Jew who is merely one outwardly, nor is circumcision outward and physical. But a Jew is one inwardly, and circumcision is a matter of the heart, by the Spirit ]
As Jesus mentioned in Matthew 7, we should recognize the hypocrites through their fruits.Every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit

A person should discern other brothers through Holy Spirit as some are disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. [II Corinthians 11:13,14]

Application:
Our speech and action should be considered as a living testimony of our Lord Jesus Christ, so we are worthy of His calling to be the child of God.

Prayer:
Lord, Pour your Love upon us and with that please help us to love / forgive others as you did to us.
