11 Do not speak evil of one another, brethren. He who speaks evil of a brother and judges his brother, speaks evil of the law and judges the law. OBSERVATIONS:
-Humbling ourselves and getting right with God must result in our getting right with other people.
-When we are right with other people, it will show in the way we talk about them. So we must not speak evil of one another and not judge our brother.
-Speak Evil : It breaks the royal law that we should love one another. Second, it takes a right of judgment that only God has.
-When we judge our brother, we put ourselves in the same place as the law, in effect judging the law. This is something that we have no authority to do, because there is one Lawgiver.
-So Who are we to Judge?
- After Judgement, our reaction will lead into Evil and make us do more sin
-7 "Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Matthew 7-1-2

APPLICATIONS:
- We should not judge anyone. we always need to remember that there is one Lawgiver and One Judge
- We need to be very careful on what we speak, do and walk
- We should reflect Jesus through our life

SCRIPTURE

James 4:11-12 [Do not judge a brother]

11 Do not speak evil of one another, brethren. He who speaks evil of a brother and judges his brother, speaks evil of the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge. 12 There is one [e]Lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy. Who[f] are you to judge [g]another?


OBSERVATION

Dont judge a brother , Dont say evil to a brother, means dont judge the law. dont accuse any brethern. Do reconcile to them

Matthew 5
21 "You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, 'You shall not murder,[a] and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.' 22 But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister[b][c] will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to a brother or sister, 'Raca,'[d] is answerable to the court. And anyone who says, 'You fool!' will be in danger of the fire of hell.

23 "Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, 24 leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift.


Dont judge your brother/others, look at yourselves

Luke 6

41 "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 42 How can you say to your brother, 'Brother, let me take the speck out of your eye,' when you yourself fail to see the plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.



Judgement belongs to god, so never judge anyone

Ezekiel 34:17
"'As for you, my flock, this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I will judge between one sheep and another, and between rams and goats.


APPLICATION

Dont judge your brothers and sisters, reconcile with them.

Look upon the lord always, and dont look at the world and dont dont see how the world sees other

Philippians 4:8
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things.


PRAYER

Lord fill us with reconciliation mind set, give us forgiving nature. give us wisdow to loook always on you, not the world

Observation:
We should not speak evil or accuse or judge one another.

Satan is called accuser of brethren (Revelation 12:10) and in Zechariah 3:1, it says Satan standing at Joshua's right side and accuse him before the Angel of the LORD.
On the other hand, Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us [Romans 8:34] Our God is mighty but despises [hate, look down] no one as stated in Job 36:5

Jesus sternly warns in the sermon on mount about not to be hypocrite and ask him to "First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye." [Matthew 7:5]

Application:

We should not judge anyone by the way he acts or speaks for the scripture says God is able to make one stand. Each of us shall give account of himself to God and it is none of our business to judge others. [Romans 14:4,12,13] Jesus shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, nor decide by the hearing of His ears, but with righteousness He shall judge the poor and decide with equity for the meek of the earth. [Isaiah 11:3,4]

James in his book 3:9 talks about the tongue by which we bless our God and Father, but curse men who have been made in the image of God.
In fact, as per 1 Corinthians 11:31: For if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged. Let the children of God compare themselves with our Lord Jesus Christ and repent of our daily short comings.
